IBS ENERGY Pty Ltd is established to develop, fund, manage and operate PV solar installations in South Africa.

IBS ENERGY Pty Ltd is a company developed and jointly owned by Directors from a group of experienced energy companies. The companies include IBS Crafts Pty Ltd, Mngadi Investments Pty Ltd,and Thari Energy Holdings Pty Ltd, all presented below. This page also includes a presentation of the three Directors in the IBS Energy company.

IBS Crafts Pty Ltd

IBS Crafts Pty Ltd is a BEE level 1 100% woman owned professional engineering company specializing in renewable energy, PV solar, electricity, water and construction with CIDB grade 6 EP, EB & CE certification. IBS Crafts was established in 2012. IBS Crafts has during the last decade achieved a turnover of R553 million. The company had a turnover of R114 million in 2024-2025. IBS Crafts has worked for key international organizations, development institutions such as IDC, PIC and DBSA, national ministries, and local municipalities such as City of Ekurhuleni and City of Tshwane. The head quarter is located in Houghton, Johannesburg, South Africa.

IBS Crafts (Pty) Ltd provide energy solutions through project development and consulting services to both the public and private sector. The company has specialized expertise in integrated farming and renewable energy developments and in biogas and CNG production. The company furthermore has extensive experience in renewable energy project finance. The company has been involved in the construction of 4 biogas facilities, 14 PPA IPP PV solar plants and 2 large-scale green agro-villages, installed more than 1,500 solar water heaters, 25,000 streetlights and 40,000 LED lights in municipal buildings, and undertaken more than 85 PV solar, biogas and similar technical and financial feasibility studies for a wide range of clients.

IBS Crafts aims to extend its PV solar footprint based on the 14 PPA IPP PV solar plants installed in cooperation with PIC in South Africa and Zambia. IBS Crafts focus on the development of PPA based PV solar installations, where IBS Crafts preferably has a majority stake in the installations. IBS Crafts is furthermore the owner (funded by IBS Crafts and local partner AquaSolar) of PPA PV solar projects in Zambia (ZESCO, Zambeef and Saro PPAs) and in cooperation with Blu Label Energy South Africa is planning wheeling and PV solar project for 2026.Within the PPA sector, IBS Crafts has a developed a 30 MW Gas-to-Power project in cooperation with City of Ekurhuleni, CEF, PetroSA, IBF Gas Holdings, CNPC, GIDZ and Impala Platinum which will be ready for implementation in 2026. IBS Craft is managed by Nondumiso Lusanda Laugesen and Carsten Hollaender Laugesen. The management team has established and have access to an excellent network of strong professionals in Southern Africa.

Mngadi Investments is managed by Siyanda Mngadi. Mr Mngadi graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Geophysics. Before establishing Mngadi Invetments, Mngadi was executive manager of energy and mining divisions for a mergers and acquisitions investment firm. Mngadi experiences further includes member of the Council for Geoscience (CGS) board, the chairperson of the technical committee, and member of finance committee, non-executive director for Anglo American Inyosi Coal (AAIC) and Inyosi Coal (IC), trustee of the Anglo Inyosi Coal Community Trust (AICCT), and investment analyst for an asset management firm.

Mothathe currently heads Trade Finance and International Banking for Non-Bank Financial Institutions at a leading pan-African bank, driving growth across 10 African markets. As a Chartered Accountant and founder of A Seat At The Table (SATT), Mothathe champions youth and women's empowerment through strategic leadership development.
